a project by Skyapnea / Nexsound ns58 Can we use sounds to portrait someone? Can we paint using vibrating air to obtain a sound that represents something? What if sound could be used to design features belonging to other sensory spheres? Choosing a particular frequency could help to evocate a thin nose? A granular light? The fragrance of morning after a sunrise full of small rain? The taste of a coffee? All these questions were contained in a reflection about abstract music sent to nine sound...

The debut album of a young Ukrainian electronic musician First 8 (pron. First Aid) is a harmonious combination of many sounds of different origins (acoustic instruments - electric guitar, amp, piano; field recordings and electronics). Names of the tracks (e.g. sleeping, winterspring) and the music itself embody the implicit idea of the album, which is - time manipulation. By means of sound purity the listener is kept in a stable reality contact without being drawn in time funnels while seasons...

Extremely precise digital manipulation of sound. A new and innovative look at the glitch music, with touch of minimal techno, post industrial, clicks and cuts. Definitely obscure and bizarre. groovy and sometimes even melodic. This is an on-line re-release of a limited edition cd-r, year 2002. Cover by Akuvido.

This is a live set of grandmaster of improv musiv and free-jazz, sax and flute multiinstrumentalist Sergey Letov, and experimental electronic artist Nikita Golyshev at National Centre for Contemporary arts in Moscow, Russia. Deep drones and gentle noises, high pitched sines and scratches, glithes and field recordings with amasing explosions of free saxophone. One of the most beautifull examples of russian free art. Music that becomes new every time you listen to it.

Evgeniy's music, and the music of the Matsutake project, can be imagined in the form of a big irregular mushroom that grows from inside of the author's head. A mushroom called "Nine & Seventeen" that's presented on this page was cut off in the winter of 2005, and is now...

"This is a 45 minutes long record. Each track is 15 minutes long composition. First part of this trilogy is electronics with violin, second part - with voice, and third part with piano. All three parts are a hyperactive ball of sounds and their follows and consequences that are not rational at a glance. "To escape" is distorted and convulsive music, "To breathe" - muted and arrect and "To keep silence" - falling down to eternal air pits. Events happen in few...

Ok_01 - Oleg Kovalchuk who is a member of the Moglass band, responsible for their synths and self-made effect boxes actually does the music under this moniker since 1998. Using hometaping techniques, his custom and unique sounding effect boxes, soviet drum machine with altered DAC and sometimes playing guitar and synths himself in two hands he creates very worm and touchy lo-fi music about his life. The ep greets us with a shortwave melody, a pleasant wake up call filtering in through the...

Process is a polymorphic (they always play in different staff) improvisation band from Krakow / Poland. This time they are: Holubowski on accordion, Nazarewicz on flute, Drewniany on electronics, Mazur(core member) on bass guitar. They play thick and deep combination of unprocessed acoustic instruments and electronics. Despite the fact that the project is quite young and started in 2004, Process played live quite often and always in stuff of open-minded and highly skilled musicians.

Now you can see, that GA is very unusual music. As regards the "Sea-product" album field recordings, voices...
